The Warrants clinic is a good resource for clients in SF with warrants OUTSIDE of SF, or for those clients who are curious if they have warrants. UC Hastings students run the clinic, and are supervised by attorneys from the Homeless Advocacy Project and a law firm, Orrick. The schedule is dictated in part by the academic calendar.

Ways to Contact

The Warrants Clinic is held on Tuesday evenings from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. All clinics will be located at St. Vincent de Paul Society – Multi-Service Center South “MSC South” 525 – 5th Street (at Bryant).

The next clinic dates are currently unscheduled.


Arrive early – between 5-6pm if possible. If the MSC drop-in center waiting room is full, you will have to wait in line outside. If this happens, please inform security or shelter personnel (whoever is monitoring the line) that you are there for the legal clinic, so Warrants Clinic staff can identify you for intake. The Warrants Clinic staff also go outside and check the line, and they go to each floor within the shelter, to sign up clients for intake.

Once inside the clinic, you will meet with a law student, who consults with attorneys, to provide you assistance with clearing any outstanding warrants.


Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
