Ways to Contact
Call 510.302.2222, ext. 4, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Legal Access Alameda now runs a legal drop-in monthly clinic, called the Community Legal Assistance Saturday Program (CLASP). Clients can receive a 15-20 minute free consultation with an attorney on almost any legal issue. No appointments required. The legal clinic typically runs the first Saturday of the month from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Alameda County Law Library (125 Twelfth Street, Oakland, CA 94607). Please visit https://www.acbanet.org/pro-bono-legal-services/ to confirm clinic dates and times.
During the initial call, Bar Association staff will do an intake to determine what type of help you need. They will connect you with one of Legal Access Alameda's programs, if appropriate.
Collect key information in advance if possible: case numbers, names of key people, court dates and deadlines, documents related to the issue, and any questions you have.
